Also bei mir tritt seit gestern das Problem auf, das wenn ich auf die Desktopverknuepfung fuers MxO klick, anstelle des normalen Einloggbereichs ne Fehlermeldung kommt
Error> Could not Initialize internet connection. You must be connected to the internet to play. The application will now close.
Inzwischen kenn ich ja die Fehlermeldung ziemlich gut, da unser Wireless hier desoefteren mal ploetzlich so den Geist aufgibt...aber imo bin ich im Internet und die Meldung kommt immernoch <<
Computer neu gestartet, Firewall deaktiviert, Antivirus deaktiviert, hat bisher alles noch nichts gebracht...
Ich installier als naechstes erstmal die MxOSoftware neu...weiss ansonsten vielleicht irgendjemand, woran das liegen koennte?

Ich werd immoment von Viren bombardiert 
Und einer war ein doubleclick Virus der mich daran hinderte einige Dateien mit nem Doppelklick vom Desktop öffnen zu können.
Aber du kannst ja die Datei mit doppelklick öffnen und es kommt ja dann diese Meldung, woran das liegt kann ich dir nicht genau sagen.
Aber probier mal das Programm aus, vielleicht hilft es ja....

Also ich hab Neu gestartet, Connection ueberprueft, WLan neu gestartet, MxO neu installiert, Virenprog durchlaufen lassen, irgendso ne komische PatchDatei neu kopiert und umbenannt...

Ich kenn mich zwar auch so einigermasen im Dos aus aber dieses Dos hier macht so garnich was ich will!
Da steht am Anfang schon nich C:\Windows\Desktop sondern C:\DOCUME~1\USER> und ich kann schreiben was ich will, der laesst mich nich auf Windows...dementsprechend funktionieren dann auch diese ewigen Paths von Sony nich die die mir da aufgeschrieben haben, ich weiss auch garnich, soll ich da echt die ganze Zeile dahinter schreiben? Is doch dumm...

Oehm...nichtsdestotrotz, ich hab also vorgestern nochmal ne Mail an Soe geschrieben, die wollten noch n paar Infos von mir, die hab ich alle ausgefuellt und eben diese komische txt Datei angehaengt, gestern hab ich schon ne Antwort bekommen, nur is das genau die gleiche Mail wie ich sie auchschon nach meiner ersten Mail als Antwort bekommen hab!
Die wollen wieder die gleichen Infos wie ich sie denen schon geschickt hab und die gleiche txt Datei, Antworten oder so hab ich keine einzigen bekommen...

Seit SOE am ruder ist hab ich kaum mehr Berrichte eingeschickt, aber einer ging um den Imensen Lag den ich manchmal habe..... und nicht nur ich allein
Ich hab denen alles geschildert, mein Sys, meine DSL Leitung (Immerhin 4Mbit) aber die einzige Antwrot von denen war das es an meiner Leitung liegen muss.... klor.... deswegen kann ich auch den Esel laufen lassen und noch bei UT2k4 mit nem Ping 40-60 rumlaufen 
Aber zu deinem Problem....
Deinstalliere mxo ersteinmal.
Dann mach einen vollständigen Virenscan mit nem normalen Virenscanner wie Kaspersky.
Danach machst du noch einen Scan mit Spybot.
Und danach führst du noch AdAware aus.
Zu guter letzt defragmentierst du alle Partitionen, oder zumindest die Partitionen auf denen Windows und mxo drauf ist.
Wenn das alles getan ist installierst du nochmals mxo drauf und lädst dir die Updates neu runter.
Dies ist eigentlich die radikalste und effektievste, aber auch die Zeitaufwendigste Methode die es fibt um dein Problem zu beseitigen.
Allem im allem wird es warscheinlich 3-6 Stunden dauern, was aber ganz von deinem System abhängt.
Mach dir nen leckeren Tee und nimm dir viel Zeit ^^

Ich hab ja bereits das Spiel schonmal deinstalliert, Virenprogs durchlaufen lassen und wieder installiert.
Das Einzige was nich war war defragmentieren und ich wage zu bezweifeln, dass das n Unterschied macht

We use WirelessLAN; sometimes my HostMom has to work at home, she uses her Laptop and the ErrorMessage came up after she used the Internet on her Laptop last time

8. What have you tried to remedy the problem?
Restarting the computer, disable/enable the internet, reinstalling the MxOSoftware, disable Firewall/Antivirus, running Antivirus, reinstall a new MxOPatchfile (which was a given advise from Sony concerning a problem close to mine)

Hi!
For a few days now I always get the message "Error: Could not initialize internet connection. You must be connected to the internet to play. Application will now close." right when I doubleclick the desktop shortcut for MxO or the exe right in the MxOFolder. It doesnt even open the MatrixOnline Launcher <
I've already tried restarting my Computer, i shut the internet down, reconnected my wireless LAN, disabled Antivirus as well as Firewall, reinstalled the MatrixOnline Software, checked my computer for any virus and did some patchfile-changing as it was described as solution for a problem similiar to mine, but nothing worked.
Do you have any idea why I get that errorMessage?

Du benutzt also WLAN, leider kenn ich mich mit Netzwerktechnik nicht so sehr aus. Aber du hattest ja geschrieben das das Problem auftritt nachdem deine Gastmutter mit ihrem Laptop im Internet war, soweit ich das Verstanden habe.
So wie das für mich klingt scheint der WLAN Router da irgend welche Zicken zu machen, vielleicht ist es eine Einstellungssache in deinen WLANRouter.
Ich binheute bei minen Eltern, die wollen bei sich alles auf WLAN umrüsten, damit auch meine Schwester ins Netz kommen kann. Da werd ich mich ja in die Materie reinbeißen und mal schauen, vielleicht finde ich ja was, wasdeinem Problem ähnlich ist...

Das es was mit den Netzwerkeinstellungen zutun hat dacht ich mir ja auchschon, waer ansonsten schon n grosser Zufall das MxO eben grad nichmehr geht seitdem meine Hostmom da rumgebastelt hat...
Was mich bloss wundert is halt, dass sie bisher schon so oft daheim gearbeitet hatte und das nie passiert is und das MxO eben auch das einzige Prog is das nich geht...aber ich ruf heut mal bei SOE an, mit dem eMail Zeug von denen kann ich echt nichts anfangen...
Aber wenn du vielleicht noch das ein oder andere rauskriegen kannst waers klasse!

Mein Vorschlag: Start => Ausführen => cmd => enter => ipconfig /all => enter und nun notier dir die IP vom Standardgateway. Dann gibst du folgendes in deinen Internet Explorer ein: http://IP (also IP ist die IP ne
), dann solltest du in die Konfiguration des Routers kommen... dort musst du dich nur noch drum kümmern, dass der Port für MxO frei ist (den dir sicher freundlicherweise gleich jemand nach meinem Post nennen wird) und dann sollte es klappen... sofern es wirklich ein Netzwerkproblem ist.

In order for the game servers to communicate with your game client reliably, firewall's may need to be configured allow traffic on TCP ports 80, 10000 and 11000 and UDP port 10000.

Also DAS hab ich auch grad noch zustande bekommen, thanks 
Rick und ich sassen da grad ne halbe Stunde hier um und haben durch die bloedesten Verstellungen an irgendwelchen Einstellungen versucht das Game wieder zum laufen zu bringen...nachdem wir dann alles durch hatten und er mit einem "Trin I m so sorry, i know that this is really important to you but i really cant think of any way to help you" Thing like that den letzten Klick getan hatte, kam ploetzlich doch die FirewallMeldung ob MxO geblockt werden soll oder nich, das Startfenster des Games hat sich oeffnen lassen und wir lagen uns mit Freudentraenen in den Augen in den Armen.
Als er jedoch dann runter is und ich hier sass und dem Startfenster dabei zugekuckt hab, wie er versucht, den neuen Patch runterzuladen...
Pustekucken, nichts is passiert, ploetzlich kommt ne neue Fehlermeldung das der Server nich gefunden werden kann und als ich MxO wieder anklicken wollte, kam wieder meine gewohnte ErrorMessage....
Und Rick und ich haben wieder keeiiinnnee Ahnung was los is....
